Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia are three countries which are located in Caucus between three big countries Iran, Turkey, and Russia. As all we know Azerbaijan as a Turkic and Muslim country has close relationship to Turkey and Iran, especially the ethnic Azeri Turks of Iran. Armenia and Georgia on the other hand has close relationship to Russia due to the fact that they are both Christian. The main question is are they European? Or middle eastern?

First of all Europe is a continent and middles east is a region.

Those countries and a small part of Turkey are located in the Caucasus region.

As for the continent it is ambiguous. and no one really cares about it.

Although all of the countries are in the European confederation in football (UEFA)

They're Middle Eastern, because they are situated in the Middle East.

It is really complicated to say.

More and more the term "Eurasia" (as referred to Russia and surroundings) is emerging as its own region, different from Europe, Middle East and Asia... and it is definitely the best way to define this countries.

Btw, I am not sure if Turkey qualifies as Middle East. Just being muslim is not enough, and Turkey has more ties with Kazakhstan or the Russian Republic of Tatarstan than with Irak.
