Depends who you ask.... most people who read the Guardian or support Labour or the Green party sneer at it the same way US Democrats do 'cos they've listened to all the spin that's floated across the Atlantic & swallowed it.
People who read the Telegraph / Times / Daily Express / Breitbart London + support either the Conservative Party or UKIP are alot more enthusiastic about the place (especially the job creation boom mentioned in an article from a few years back "Texas Booms While California Busts"), and there's quite a few British people on Twitter who'll play happily with the #tcot / #2A crowd + are enthusiasts of the area.
Personally I'm a bit of a fan of the place
A klarge number of people who work in international oil exploration industry seem to come from Texas in USA or Yorkshire in UK!
There are several Million people in the UK- not everyone is going to have the same opinion
Hi not really somewhere i would want to go dry and dusty.
We see the people there as quite arrogant and gung ho. They also love their big cars there which does nothing to help the environment. We like the old westerns though, especially the older generations here in the UK.
