or just doing a top deck tour for a month to go to all the main places i want in one go, the reason for this is so i wont be away from home for to long, but is this an expensive option for travelling?
i will be travellling alone so want the chance to meet new people.
Unless you hold an EU passport, this isn't an option.
Assuming you're not; you can come to London for a maximum of 6 months on a tourist visa (providing you can prove you can support yourself entirely for that time and have a return ticket), and cannot work or look for work as a tourist.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to gain a visa to work unless you are a British or EU citizen. You can stay here for six months without a visa.
Living in London is very expensive. You would be better off touring and using youth hostels.
New Zealand citizens have no right to work in the UK. You can come as a tourist but if you plan a 6 month stay you med to show funds for that. Work and you'll be deported and banned for at least 10 years.
You cannot get a job here if you are not an EU citizen.
Only tourist buses in London have a top deck tour, they don't go out of the City.
Where are you going to sleep ? accommodation is expensive.
Moving from where for a year? If NOT another part of UK or rest of EU a year is not possible....
