Why doesn't the US take its citizens from Ukraine?

A guy from the Donetsk army reported they had killed an Afro- American and offered the US or his mother to come and take his body. Unlike Mr. Khruschev the guy promised "we won't burry him".

Reportedly there are about 300 US citizens killing eastern Ukrainians in Ukraine.

Now, answer whether Obama can call them back? They came to Ukraine on their own without Obama's permission and are doing what they think to be right and good.

The same thing with a few Russian citizens fighting there to help their friends or relatives. They came there on their own and no one can make them leave the country.

Russia is a free country and Russian citizens may do what they want. They are not sent by President Putin for him to order them to come back.

If only governments were capable of ordering their citizens! No, they can't.

I wish Cameron had called back Samantha Lewthwaite in Nairobi last year but he didn't and his failure to take her away resulted in 63 killed and 175 wounded.

That's the way things happen.

Because the residents of eastern Ukraine are Ukrainian and Russian speaking. The residents are fleeing from the Ukrainian military and other armed mercenaries who are trying to kill them. 1,100 people have been killed in eastern Ukraine and the media is against Russia and not explaining the Ukrainian military are the aggressors. Russia does not control the eastern Ukraine. Some Russian citizens are helping defend the region from Ukrainian onslaught but Russian miliitary is not there.

1. those people are Ukrainian citizens, not Russian. And they have exactly the same rights as other part of Ukrainian citizens (unless you believe there are "better" ethnic groups and there are "worse" ones). Including right to live peacefully on the land where they and their ancestors lives for hundreds years.

2. there are dozens thousands of refugees in Russia right now. In the town where I live (more than 1000km from Ukrainian border, very small town) there are few hundreds of them. They were put into local hotel.

They are not Russian citizens. Most of them are pro-Russian /Russian speaking Ukranian citizens. And there are millions of them so it would be difficult to do. And also they might want to stay themselves. It`s their native land and they just want their rights to be defended. Eastern Ukraine always was more pro-Russian while western part regulary had some anti-Russian moods. So this historical conflict was worked up by spring events and turned into a war
