1000$ target gift card? real or not?

Its a scam they will take you info and give it to more people to use against you DON'T DO IT

Unreal that this old scam is still hanging around.

And unreal that people still fall for it.

There is no card.

And, they will get your bank account info with the stupid payment you will make.

They can wipe out your account in a blink of an eye if they want to.

Stop being so naive. Ok?

Anyting online is a scam that prey on the most gullible and desperate.

You are not in some sort of mailing list.

Expect many scam calls in your future. Many. Don't fall for them.

It's an identity theft scam that has been reported on the news all over the country.

Target NEVER gives away $1000 gift cards. You just gave your home address to some scammer and they WILL ask for more and more info

"Hundreds of 9News viewers report receiving a text-message indicating they won a Target gift card worth $1,000.

The text appears to be the latest in a series phishing schemes that steal identities and clean out bank accounts. "

"If you have received a text message saying you've won a $1,000 Target gift card, you could be in danger of identity theft. "

"Cell phone users nationwide are receiving suspicious text messages that claim to be from Target. The texts tell consumers they won a drawing for free gift card… and all they have to do is click a link and enter their address and phone number.

Unfortunately, the gift card drawing is fake. And the texts are just a way to collect personal info for shady advertisers"

"Some big scams making the rounds these days are trying to lure na?ve consumers with promises of $1,000 gift certificates to Best Buy (BBY), Walmart (WMT) or Target (TGT). The appeal is clear. Who among us, after all, doesn't need a bigger, thinner, shinier TV? Or a new computer or camera?

The text might announce, "Congratulations, you've won!" and might invite you to enter a code to claim a prize. You may be given a toll-free number to call, or asked to reply to the text. It might have a link for you to click, as well.

All of these are ways for the con artist to seek out suckers. If you respond, he'll know he has a live one on the line and will proceed to extract personal information from you. Or, you may be asked to wire some money before you receive your big check. Clicking on the link might even install a virus on your cell phone."

Dont do it its a scam

Not real

i got a text message saying that i won some drawing or something for a $1000 gift card at target. and to go to some target webpage to redeem it. i went there but its asking me to select or sign up fro two offers from the "sponsors" in order to get the card. Im wondering if this is just some big scam or something or if it is legit. It never asked me for any personal information besides my shipping address and phone number. the offers i have to pick from are not expensive either but they do cost some money (up to $5 plus shipping) has anyone ever done one of these things or know anything about it? i could really use the money but i don't want to be buying into some scam either.
