17 and Want to Move Out?

No, it isn't true that if your parents sign a paper you can get money from "somewhere". Especially if you are going to be 18 in a month. That makes you a legal adult and responsibile for yourself.

If you are not employed and earning enough to pay for the apartment - no landlord will rent to you.

If you are not employed and earning enough to pay for the apartment, utilities, groceries, furniture, household stuff, personal stuff, transportation and everything else - then you cannot move out until you do. Or you go to college and live in the dorm and forget about this living with boyfriend - especially when you want to do so on so-called government money. How are you paying for college in the first place?

Have no idea why you would think the government will hand you a couple thousand dollars a month to live with boyfriend and go to college.

Obviously you have not thought this through - other than the fact that you want something and are trying to find ways to get what you want.

I want to be 22 and a size 6 again. That also is not going to happen.

Which State is this in? Not all States majority age is 18. Some states the age is 19 some the age is 21.

Young adults cannot get help from the Gov. No one will rent to you and boyfriend no earning a living.

To move oout at 18, you need to be able to pay the rent. And no, your parents can't be forced to, and the ggovernmenet won't.

You might be able to get a student loan, but you'll have to pay it back.

You will have trouble finding an apartment without being 18 you can't sign a contract. You need to pay rent so need income about 3-4 times as much as your rent. You also need furniture and household items, since you have thought this through, I am sure you have a list of things you need to run a household and saved enough money for everything.

You may need to live in a dorm the first year of college so signing a lease this summer is a really bad idea.

More time at home means more time to love the people you live with. Dont isolate yourself from your family and it will make things go by more smoothly for all of you. Be sociable and nice. You cant get money from the government because you are kicked out by your parents.

You heard wrong. At 18, you're a legal adult. Sorry, but neither of you is financially prepared to live on your own.

my suggestion is that go back to your own family like Father and mother Sisters brothers. he support you no one can support you. So you will go back to you home and live with them. Thanks

I am 18 in a month. My home life is decent, could be better. But there's a lot of crap happening right now and I think it'd be easier on everyone and everything if I were to move out. The only problem is, I don't have a job and I would have to move into an apartment because I have no one else to live with. I would be moving in with my boyfriend, who also does not have a job. My question is: Is there any way I could get money from the government or my parents so that I could live on my own until I find some other source of income? I heard if your parents sign a paper saying that you're officially kicked out, that I can get money from somewhere. Is this true?

Also, I have thought this through. This is not on impulse. That's why I am doing my research.

Please help!
