18 year old in parents apartment?

It is standard industry wide to require every resident 18 & older to properly be screened & on the lease. Yes most landlords would be fine with the ticket but you need to be aware that it is up to each individual landlord what they will & will not accept. We are not clairvoyant and only your landlord can truly answer if you will get approved or not.

Your income would only make a difference if this is a low income property & your income would place your household over the allowed maximum income limit.

You need to know that if they determine you do not qualify then you cannot live there. This is not a high likely hood but important for you to know. The rest of your family that has been approved would be permitted to remain so long as they do not try to sneak you back in.

This is normal procedures when you are at age of majority, you need to be declared living there.

On the underage consumption ticket, it should not be counted against you. No your whole family would not get evicted but you could. I doubt that will do anything on a background check, you were underage.

Money is not the issue here. They might charge more for having 1 more person living there.

PS:

You will also need your own room.

What the hell is a consumption ticket?

More than likely it is in the event they must evict the occupants. The law requires that the names of all adults [18 and older in most states, 16 in a few] must be listed on an eviction in order to give "proper" legal notice to all adult occupants. That is why apts w/ knowledgeable mgmt are sticklers about knowing who is living in the property. Sometimes they raise the rent for additional occupants especially if water and other utilities are included because consumption/costs will increase.

They just need a record of all the adults living in the apartment. It's very unlikely they'll run any sort of background check on you because they would not expect you to have a credit history. And the landlord doesn't care about the underage consumption, I promise.

yes you will be fine, they just need the application to know how many are in there.

yes

i am 18 and my family just moved into an apartment. The managers just found out I am 18 and are making me fill out an application. i have no job or credit history or anything and i am in college, also, about 5 months ago i got an underage consumption ticket. Am i fine? if i get rejected will my whole family lose the apartment or just my application?

does my income matter since my dads income alone is like 3-6 times higher than rent
