The second, you are always honest and upfront about your products, your goal is the retaining of your customers so they will be repeat and your building for the long haul. Your business, your choice, why anyone would sell a product they don't believe in is beyond me.
Its tricky and depends on your products. The people who work in a Prada store don't dress in head to toe Prada everyday because it is too expensive. In that same vein, if you sell very niche, high end products, your customers might understand if you didn't use some of the products yourself on a daily basis. This is related to Work Ethics I guess, by saying you are using this product you are recommending it to the customer. Was it a lie? Were you actually using the product?
Depends - do you use that product? If no, then tell them what you use and why. The customer is asking for your advice - if you want to see that customer again, you give them honest advice. If you walk into a restaurant and ask how a dish is, do you want your waiter giving you advice if they have never tasted the dish?

You should try to promote that product or possibly try to sell alternatives based on the customers needs.
Interesting question, IF you are selling a very hight priced product (expensive) which costs up tp miliion, so you cannot buy and use it, you can say that you had seen other people wear it.
