You need to have a GREAT deal more information before you try to purchase tax liens. You do NOT have the right to enter the property at all. You own only the right to continue to pay taxes for several more years, at which time you can apply for an actual deed from the county. You will need to do a title search and purchase title insurance if you do actually get a deed to the property, very likely there are other liens and interests against it. Until you have clear title to the property, you will be trespassing if you set foot on it. PLEASE do some serious research on this, buying tax liens is NOT the same thing as buying the property. The county may offer some information on its website, or your state's real estate commission may have information on classes.
You can't legally touch the property until you actually own it.
You need to know a lot more before you go wasting your money on these. Get yourself a good lawyer and start from there.
You can't do anything to the property, you don't own it.
County records will know of any lien.
I recently purchased a tax lien on an abandoned property and I have a few questions. First, is it legal for me to begin fixing up the property, and if it is redeemed do i get reimbursed? also, where can i go to see if there is a mortgage lien and any other lien on the property? a specific website would be great!
