Anyone have any rude customer stories?

Guy's probably packing it in somewhere else with negative emotions and just let it out on you.

I was once sitting at a Starbucks and this man came in ordered and was waiting at the pickup side. When his drink came he yelled so loud: "I SAID NO WHIPPED CREAM!" And the barister was very polite and said "I'm sorry sir." Let me tell you what we were all thinking: This man had no class. At least, I think that's what we all were thinking.

I was also working in a cafe.

A lady came in, pleasant as anything, asked for a slice and a coffee to go.

As you know, you leave the slice in the fridge until the coffee is made. She then walked outside, talked to some friends, came back in and told me not to worry about the slice as she was "over it." So I continued making her coffee, gave it to her and her refund for her slice, she left and came back 5 minutes later hurling abuse at me because the coffee was "too hot", then told me I must have some form of mental problem and I shouldn't be working in customer service.... in front of my boss, and a full cafe. I went home in tears.

Telephone advice line:

Customer called in.

"alarm is going off"

Reply: "All you need to do is press the green button"

Customer was insisting that someone go out and press the button for her (2 hour round trip).

This went on and on, and on and on

Telephone helper then said:

"do you know who you are talking to?:

Customer replied "No"

"good" said helper. "**** off"

I asked a guy what he wanted on his sandwich innocently and he thought I was patronizing him. He proceeded to call me an idiot and a "little *****" who "doesn't deserve to have a job because you're such a disgrace to humanity." People can be quite awful, yes.

I would have reached over and choked the $HIT out of him then kick his sorry *** out the door !!!!

I work in a cafe and today I was busy tidying up behind the counter as it had quietened down after the dinner time rush and I was approached by the rudest customer I've ever came across who hurled abuse at me as I was 'faffing' about behind the counter and served other customers before him and that he had sat with his wife at the table for 30 mins waiting to be served, apparently he was appalled and disgusted etc etc, however the silly man would not let me get a word in edgewise to explain that the cafe is not in fact table service and we take all orders at the counter, I was Absolutely baffled that this man who had the nerve to verbally abuse me in front of a packed cafe because I did not notice him sitting waiting for someone to take his order even thought it clearly says on signs around the cafe to place orders at the counter. It also baffles me how he complained I had served other customers before him and still didn't realise these customers where placing their orders at the bar.

It was one of those moments I wish I would've explained after he caused a scene in front of the whole cafe and showed him up for being so rude. You would think common sense would tell you to ask at the counter if you had sat waiting for half an hour.

.Anyone else have any experiences with rude customers?
