Let's say 1 out of 200 people are stupid enough to fall for a scam. You send hundreds of emails a day. Eventually you get someone stupid enough and make a fair amount of money off of them. Simple statistics.

Apparently they are -- just look at the MILLIONS lost through Nigerian 419 scams every year! It seems like it would be impossible!!

scammers definitely have that talent to convince people. I believe it's a talent used in a bad way.
