Welcome

I work in tescos, grocery.what store are you? Doubt its anywhere near

Yes its a good company.

Good pay (7.30 ph hour, 9 ph nightshift and time and a half on sun)

Good benefits, discounts on food, healthcare (from teeth to eyes to health insurance) the gym

Good management programmes, you can be a manager within a few years and at a young age (23 is the youngest in my shop)

One of the top 4 pensions in the UK

Discounts on a range of activities, including huge discounts in Alton towers/Thorpe park/sea worlds and a ton more

And day experiences (rally driving, spa days, air balloons trips etc)

Discounts on trips (plane travel/hotel stay)

Range of discounts on internet and phones (virgin)

Good deals on tesco phones (networks pay and monthly)

Discounted car insurance

10% of in store

Most things come with a friends and family discount as well (so they will be happy with a few of them I'm sure)

PS this isn't is only like half of the good stuff you get for working with them

Pps most discounts come when you have been with tescos for 6 months (anything related to the privilege discount card)

Shop wise, its difficult to say, most employees and managers are obv different to work with most people iI have worked with from other stores have been fine, and again depends on managers on how strict they are, the company is not very strict, as long as you have good customer service and help them with everything, they are happy, you are also trained on new things every couple months

Enjoy.......

yes, very good

they are firm but fair

no

Hi I start my new job for tescos soon just on grocery but I'm hoping to progress and stay with the company and hopefully get a good carear with them any advice from any one who's worked for them?
