Are you easily seduced with Advertising?

I will be honest with you I do seem to buy more items from magazines that have write ups on the product and a picture and not tv or internet. TV is all hype to me. Halley Berry pushing a lipstick won't make me purchase it. Sorry. But if I see and read it I do tend to tear it out of the magazine and take it to the store and look for it.

Advertising is such a gimmick and it wants to "draw" people like a cult does. I see my husband loving commercials now and I remember when a commercial came on you fast forward or walk out of the room on it...not now. Now my husband mimicks or says, "I love that ad". I think he likes the ads more than the shows now!! But it brainwashes him by making the ad funny keeping his attention and not really pushing the product ...well....pushing the product with smoke and mirrors. LOL.

I think that consumers as a whole are influenced by ads but they respond in different ways. In order to answer this question properly you should submit more information. I say this because you have to know the demographic you are targeting. Also the response you get will vary depending on your target audience. One good way to find out what people are interested in is Google Trend. That should at least give you a starting point to begin the research on your market and it will also tell you what people are interested in. Thus giving you the ability to sell something people actually want. Trust me I know what I am talking about. my used to be an affiliate marketer. If you need any help at all I will help free of charge. All you have to do is ask.

The "not so smart" people in this world are easily trapped by advertising.

That will be your target group.

no unless its something so crazy and stupid I have to try it, which is rare

I'm working in the advertising industry and i want to know if you have this compulsion of buying products by just looking at the advertisements on TV and on the Internet? What type of products?
