Why should they? -
you make up your mind before buying, not after.
Lets be honest here, you have not simply changed your mind, you are a time waster. Someone who buys goods and then finds a better deal and then returns them opened, scratched and often not working. Why would Argos refund you if they have clearly stated on your receipt that it is exempt from the guarantee? It is NOT FAULTY so why do you want to return it? Face it you are just taking advantage of them and they are not having it. They will point you to the door as soon as you appear with your battered old tablet, all scratched and ask for your money back and I would not blame them for that either.
Just use the Argos tablet yourself and let your daughter user the samsung one. Grow up and try to behave like a responsible parent and set a good HONEST example to your kids so they don;t grow up to become criminals like you. And stop wasting Argos's time on such a silly thing. You got that Argos tablet in a sale for cheap and that is why it is not covered by their return guarantee. Live with it now.
If you bought it from argos or ANY other retailer online you have the right to cancel the sale for 7 days. If you change your mind and you have bought it in store, you dont have the right to change your mind. However if it is unopened Argos like many retailers will allow a refund as a goodwill gesture if bought in store. If bought online you are allowed to open the box to have a look etc. Also with Store chains like Argos, if it doesnt work with your local store try another.... Works for me.
'At the end of the day people should have the right to change their mind!'
Really? Why? That's the sort of attitude which pushes up prices....
You don't have a right to a refund, but try producing the unopened item and receipt and asking nicely, rather than behaving as if you have a right to do as you please. With luck that'll do the trick for you!
I bought my daughter a netbook for xmas. My husband has just had a new mobile fone and it came with samsung tablet. Could I take the netbook back? I spoke to argos customer service an he said argos should refund it, if I have the receipt an if its unopened. I didn't realise at this point that it said exempt from 30 day guarantee, so will they still refund/exchange it? At the end of the day people should have the right to change their mind!
