Assistance programs for relocating to another state?

Your only true option here is to save up enough money to pay for a few months in an extended stay hotel. They're cheaper than normal hotels, and are basically a studio apartment with linen service once a week.

Find a residential or extended stay hotel for a few weeks. Why would any government give every person who wanted to move some financial help. That is absurd.

Temporary housing does exist. It's called a homeless shelter. You really can expect the taxpayers to pay your way just because you want to move.

No, no programs. Normally people live in motels until they are settled.

Does such a thing exist? More specifically, my situation is this. Im trying to move to a different state. Finding employment is no concern when I arrive, never has been wherever Ive lived. My problem is anchoring down first before I actually get work. I have no friends or family to fall on for temporary help. Ive even tried posting my situation on Craigslist, offering a few months of rent in advance to a landlord but I havent come across anyone willing to do so because everyone wants someone with proof of employment first. I dont know what else to do. Do temporary housing programs exist for people moving from out of state who just need a place to live until they get situated? Sucks not knowing anyone.
