how do big companies manage crm..do they have local programmes or have a practical implementation of such realtions??

Large companies especially invest substantial amounts of money to implement and develop customer relationship management strategies. These must be organized through the use of CRM software that will give a centralized location for all customer data and will ensure a specific CRM process is being followed company wide. This way no matter how large the company is or how many locations it may have across the globe its easy to run specific reporting. These reports can identify any constraints or processes that require change or where additional training is necessary for improvement.

A successful CRM implementation can help a professional services firm stay head and shoulders above the competition.

There are five simple steps that can help put an organization on the path to CRM success :

1. Culture is King

2. Set Realistic Goals

3. Obtain and Maintain Senior Management Support

4. Analyze Working Processes

5. Select the Right Software Partner

Keeping these five steps in mind, any firm will be well on the way to CRM success.

I speak from experience when I say that our company chose to buy a ready CRM system and just develop the strategy. It is much easier and cheaper this way than to develop your own CRM software which requires a lot of work and time. We use webCRM and we are pretty happy with how easy it was to implement it and teach people how to use it. So I believe most companies would go this direction.

It depends, if they have a very unique requirement that is not available as a product then they build it or most of them prefer to buy ready to use product as this is already tested and can be implemented faster
