Just fill out the rental application giving truthful answers to the questions. You will be approved somewhere. There's no rreason to be embarased if you get turned down. It's not public information and no one in the rental office will remember you.
That is good income per month. As long as you have no major debts to offset it, you should have no trouble renting a place. Odds are that theft charge will not come up as you were a minor at the time. I think you worry too much.
If you are afraid of being denied by an apartment complex, I am going to guess you are also afraid of girls. Much in the same way you need to take the risk, and if you are denied you can also find out exactly why, fix it, then reapply, or simply try again with the next apartment (or girl). No one is going to know if you get denied by either.
The other option is to get a co-signer (or a wing man), to help you close the deal.
BE up front and let them know you made a few mistakes. You now have a good paying job and are willing to pay a double deposit to earn their trust. With $8500.mo you shoul dbe able to pay off the charge offs and start paying your student loans. This will haunt you. Live as if you are making $3500.mo and use the rest to pay off your debts
ya never know until you try. So try. Go in there and ask to see a model apartment, ask what's available, pay your application fee and fill out the application and wait to be accepted.
you can afford to pay rent for the whole year, upfront, in cash...who wouldn't rent to you
no harm in applying you might find out you can rent a place
I'm 21 and make roughly $8,500 per month in a management position. I don't have the best credit (charge offs, student loans). I've never had any repos or evictions. I have has a summary theft charge when j was in high school. I am embarrassed to apply at a rental community for fear of being denied. Any suggestions on how to approach the rental manager?
