Ebay is a decent trusting site. A lot better than others I would say.
The only way you would for sure get your stuff is if you actually went through the transaction of purchasing it. If you don't get your item you can contact the seller and they will explain everything. Also if you never get it you can just sue them or whatever you want as long as you keep all the details of the transaction like the conformation emails and such.
Yeah my family and i use ebay all the time, you can check the sellers feedback frm previous customers, if your buying from a different country its safest to use pay pal payment method but it has a small fee, its insurance, try not to buy things from asia that are super cheap compared to what they usually are, not many people do the wrong thing on ebay because ebay has there adress and details etc, if you do somethign wrong on ebay your in big trouble and canbe taken to court!
