Sounds like you've already got a burning desire to make your dream come true. You are already ahead of the game. Also, that you realize that you will fail before you will succeed. If you study successful business people, they will all say the same thing, and that is that you will fail before you succeed. It would be wise for you to study business and how to operate one. The t-Shirt biz is fairly saturated with competition business, I saw the story of at least one guy that invested $1000 setting up site with unique designs and had not yet made any sales.

Those new print on demand sites like cafepress and Zazzle that allow anyone to setup a 'store' with art they uploaded have further diluted the market. (might be a way to get your feed wet without investing in inventory)

There are lots of less competitive specialty niches that would allow a site that would cost less to advertise or get high search ranking.

Perhaps if you were a gifted designer you might have an edge.

In my opinion just complete your business managenment study then you would definite get good ideas regarding your bussiness. Just do one thing collect the facts which helps you in growing business. After having degree you got the moral value high and gain confidence to acheive the business target.

To simply answer your question, Yes. But to be honest, you are better off going to college, getting a degree in business management, and then try to pursue your dream.

I'm a 17 year old guy and my dream is to manage my own clothing company; yes it is a very huge task and it will be a lot of hard work, I know that, but I'm not an average teen. Since I was 14 I knew for an absolute fact I wasn't going to be working my butt off for someone only to make their dreams come true. Every inch of my mind and body is dedicated to my dream of managing my own business. Now if I work extremely hard and fail many times; will i eventually get wealthy? Another thing is, I'm not in it for the money completely. Yeah I wanna by very nice things, but I want the money just to know I can take care of family and friends in the future. Thank you very much!
