Can you actually buy abandoned 'haunted' houses?

Every real estate property has an owner. If they no longer pay their property tax and keep the property in repair then the tax authority often forecloses on it and sells it to the public. So contact the local property tax authority.

It's possible that the property owners might be making so much money on a "haunted" house that they aren't interested in selling.

Its possible. They may be abandoned but someone DOES still own it even if it is a bank or a trust. You need to check the county tax records to see who owns it, contact them & see if they want to sell or not.

if they are not in livable condition immediately, you would need 100% cash to buy them - you wouldn't get approved for any mortgages and you have to try and find the legal owner

they are only for sale on halloween

IDK

I was wondering if you can buy homes that are abandoned and believed to be haunted? When I see pictures of such homes they happen to be in the country and far away from other houses.

Of course since the houses are old and beaten you would have go get it fixed. Anyway can you buy these houses with the right amount of money, or are they just meant to be there and vacant?

Here is an article you can check out: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/29/seph-lawless_n_6063654.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000063

Some houses even look nice. I really like; pic 6, pic 8, and pic 10. These houses are ones I would buy no matter the history...
