Can you mail a USPS Express envelope via FEDEX?

No. It is against federal law to use packaging materials that USPS distributes free of charge for anything other than their intended use, mailing though USPS.

When you are using your own packaging, it means that you supplied it. By the way, have you checked FedEx prices for the same level of service that Express Mail is? Unless you have a corporate FedEx account, USPS is still cheaper.

Probably not. First, USPS distributes USPS Express envelopes free, on the condition that you use them only for sending them USPS Express. You can't even use them for other types of USPS mail. Accepting the free envelopes from USPS, and then sending them FedEx, cheats USPS out of the money that it costs to make the envelopes.

Second, FedEx and USPS contract with each other to have some items shipped by one and delivered by the other. If USPS envelopes were shipped by FedEx, they would get confused with the USPS envelopes shipped by USPS.

Third, when FedEx says "you can use YOUR OWN packaging", they mean exactly that: Packaging you bought with your own money. Not USPS's packaging, which is not yours.

when i used to work for them you could use a usps express envelope

iknow we got a lot of ups envelopes [i used to the shipping clerk]

so the policy should be the same unless its been changed but i doubt it

plus remember fed ex also free enevelopes too

Fedex doesn't care who's packaging you use.

I want to mail USPS Express envelopes out via FEDEDX and wanted to know if this was allowed? Testing something out marketing wise and Express via USPS is almost $20. I can send the same USPS envelope out via Fedex for a lot less as I believe you can use your own packaging?
