Can you purchase items from warehouses?

Not from like things like Sam's Club or anything like that, but like you can go to the warehouse and purchase things.

Yes you can- if you know how. As a product manager for the bicycle industry I buy a lot of stuff straight from factories on behalf of my customers and if the item appeals to me I tack extra stuff on the order for myself. Let me give you a scenario:

Bicycle control cables in bulk (no individual packaging) cost about 9¢ each. Packaging additional 12¢ each which works out to costing me 21¢ each total. Got it?.

The minimum order of 250,000 cables costs me about $23,000. I sell 190,000 of them at 47¢ each to various wholesalers that then resell to dealers, then I sell the remainder for 80¢ each/$8.00 for ten on the various online outlets.

So, this order ends up making me $61,000 (for the 190,000 pieces I sold to the wholesaler at 47¢ each), and an additional $48,000 for the stuff I sold online "direct" (for 80¢ each).

The suggested retail price for each individual cable is $3.00. That means the online buyers/sellers- if one person buys them all and chooses to sell them at full retail- would gross a possible $132,000 for a $48k investment.

There is a lot of detail I am leaving out here which are commonly considered "trade secrets".

Now, all you have to do is find a product you understand, find a product manager willing to sell to you, find the "up front" money for that first order, and go for it.

Only from those rare companies doing wholesale sales to the general public, as a rule one must have a business license to buy wholesale.

Ebay and flea market sellers will buy from special inventory liquidation centers, selling returned items, old fashion designs, etc by the palette full.

Yes, but only if you buy a very large quantity, like 100 or more of the same item.

No...warehouses are run by distributors who sell to business clients. If you have a business license and want to buy in bulk, then you can call a sales rep.
