You can also look on craigslist for apartments/houses for rent and sometimes these people are willing to rent for just a month or two. In fact, some ONLY rent for a few months or less, but these people charge way too much, in my opinion.
there are many places that have rental accommodations for JUST THE SUMMER, especially in resort and beach areas. The local papers, as well as Craig's List and Angie's List should have plenty of them right now.
Some people want / need someone to house sit while they go on an extended summer vacation.Look for those, too.
yes there are lots of places that are for rent for that sort of purpose... the rents are usually higher given that they can get higher amounts (typically furniture, kitchen supplies etc are all included). Try searching craigslist etc
