You need to talk to a professional. A lot depends on what kind of timber is on the property, what the market rate for it is and what access there is. Why would you clear cut it unless it is useless brush? Large specimen trees in ones yard for shade and beauty are worth a heap when selling either a lot or a house on a lot.
You'd better check for regulatory restrictions first. Then, if it's permissible, ask for some proposals. "The lumber" may or may not have much commercial value.
It will all depend on what they can make. This will depend on the density of the woods and the type of wood.
I have about 20 acres of land and I would like to clear cut 10 of them. Since I do not have much money I would like to get someone to clear cut those acres and pay me for the lumber. Will a company pay me just to cut half of the 20 acres or does it all need to be cut for me to get money for it?
