If they complain or contact you off ebay, forward the complaint to ebay using the help or report item links.
If a seller miscalculates the postage, it's their fault, not yours.
Note you will probably get a UK Customs VAT bill when it reaches the UK (20% plus ￡8 or so).
Hello, I buought a lot of items off ebay, all u have to do is contact seller asking how do they want u pay the extra amount through paypal as u did before or another payment method. Never pay outside of ebay protection plan. Hope this helps
They will send you an invoice to pay through paypal or you can pay if you know their off ebay email address. However coming after you for additional moneys for shipping after the sale is not so cool.
(technically you do not have to pay)

I work for a on-line business and if a customer is not able to pay the extra cost we would normally refund the money the customer has already paid. If you still like the item and is willing to pay the extra cost this can be done through paypal.
They will send you an invoice to your paypal and is done by using your email. I would also like to mention getting in contact with ebay as this may not be a genuine ebay. Hope it helped :)
I purchased and payed for a leather jacket on ebay from an American seller and then they sent this message -
''We're happy to report to you that we were able to post your jacket today, 8
