So you want the council to subsidise you EVEN MORE without increasing the council tax?
You do realize that public money pays a large part of your rent?
￡500 per calendar month for a 3-bedroom house, my good god! That's the cheapest you can find, be grateful! Instead of relying on the council, why don't you get a job and pay your own way instead like the rest of us?
And how much is a private 3bed place in your area?
That's a bloody good deal wherever you are in the country, you'll get little sympathy on here.
Sounds on the cheap side to me. If you check out the private sector I expect you will agree. If you are dissatisfied why don't you buy your own place? You may well find that mortgage payments would be less.
Given that's cheaper than my one-bedroom apartment on the private market, perhaps count your blessings.
Is it me or is my council rent the highest in the country? I pay nearly ￡500 PCM for my very small 3 bed house. Where as others think that the rent is only a couple of hundred. I wish it was then I would be able to afford my home much easier too! I had to wait 8 years for this house seems apart from the security tenancy side if things if you can manage ￡500 PCM rent and only rent no bills included either then you can afford private with housing benefit support.
