Craigslist question?

Remember, Craigslist is ONLY for face to face CASH transactions. Everything else is a scam. Never give out your address or PayPal details to anyone - they are trying to rob you or hack your account. Never let a buyer tell you how or where they are paying you. As the seller, YOU set the terms of the deal. Always meet in a public well lit location with other people around and accept cash only

Real buyers Will try to set up a time to meet you

Scammers claim to be away and want to send you a check, money order or PayPal then either want you to ship or have a mover pick up.

If that is all they wrote, don't bother replying. An honest buyer will name the specific item you are selling and they will ask questions about it.... or they will set up a meeting to buy it.

The scammers send out 10,000 emails every day to Craigslist sellers saying "Still available?". If you reply, they sell your email address to other spammers.

probaly a scam. text such as this is typical of robot web-crawl programs that scammers use to harvest for-sale postings across the net. these scumbags have to generate many thousands of such replies daily to find even one potential sucker.

once upon a time, as an experiment, a guy posted a "sdfkjfijdsfds for sale" posting.

can you imagine how many "I want to buy your sdfkjfijdsfds " replies he got?

OMG! Do NOT reply to it! If someone else sends you a message and say they want to buy the item, also, DO NOT reply to it!

I got a reply on something i was selling,

It's from "Comcast" and said "Hi, I'm interested in (item)

i'm new to craigslist so what is this? I've heard about email scams and not to reply so is this a scam to make me reply?
