In your example, Nike is the manufacturer and Goods would be the retailer.
A distributor is the company that supplies the products to other stores.
In this case, Nike could be both the manufacturer and the distributor, since they make the product and distribute them to certain stores.

A distributor goes to one retailer's outlet, i.e. a shop/store, delivers the goods to the retailer, and then moves on to the next retail outlet. No selling or dealing with customers is involved.

A retailer is who sells to the "ultimate consumer/end user" like a restaurant sells bottle of cobra bear. Where as an exclusive distributor like bookers (http://www.booker.co.uk) only sells to other businesses or retailers but not to any end users. You need to open a business account to start buying from them. But there are also those distributors (Not exclusive) who sell their product to both retailers and end users.

So I've just read up on Exclusive Distribution, and the example I was given is that Nike only lets a few stores like Goods to sell their products.
Is Nike the manufacturer? Is Goods the retailer or the distributor? Where does the distributor and retailer come in in Exclusive Distribution? Are there any other examples of Exclusive Distribution? O__o I am so confused, someone, please help me!
