Naval,

WordPress is a blogging software which you can install in your preferred webhost, like GoDaddy and the others.

So they are completely different. And if you want to have a selfhosted wordpress website, then we are discussing wordpress.org here, while there are two wordpress-es, the wordpress.com, which you can sign up for free, but you don't have 100% control of your website. You don't need webhost (like GoDaddy) for this WordPress.com website.

Whereas, WordPress.org version, which is the blogging software, you can download the files, and installed it in your webhost.

I don't recommend GoDaddy for hosting though, currently a lot of their users getting their WordPress sites hacked. I read it here in the official forum: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/all-p...

Wordpress or Blogger are free weblog publishing tools for sharing text, pictures, video...

GoDaddy or Whois are queries and response protocols that are widely used for querying databases that store the registered users or assignees of an Internet resource, such as a domain name, an IP address block, or an autonomous system. You can also create a website with GoDaddy. But you have to pay monthly for it. There are different packages for personal and business. You can learn more from their home pages.

Good luck.

Wordpress and godaddy are completely different from each other.

Wordpress provides a facility to make your website with the help of their already present page design layouts, whereas through GoDaddy, you can book a domain for yourself and host your website but you have to make it by your own through coding.

That's like comparing Apples and Oranges. Trying to make some sense of it:

Wordpress.com is the free hosting option for the open source industry standard Wordpress blog platform, it does have paid upgrades, like for adding a domain name.

GoDaddy best known for selling domain names, also offers web site hosting service that is fairly unremarkable, one can install Wordpress on a paid Godaddy hosting account to have a little more control than the multiuser Wordpress version used on Wordpress.com accounts.

Using a paid host and your own custom domain name gies you better control over the site's future and aallows you to mane ad and affiliate revenue that some fre hosts don't allow, many "unlimited: shared hosting accounts allow you to add more sites and offer the Fantistico installer program that makes it easy to install wordpress on your sites.

Depends on what type of website you're building, what features/flexibility you want. You can compare them on the comparison charts at ultimatewb.
