So, you are getting cheap housing from Grandma. Count yourself lucky and shut your mouth. Most of us are paying high rent. If you want to keep hatching out kids, buy a damn house. You guys are old enough, you should be on your " OWN. " If your husband does make good money, there is no reason for you not to buy a big house. BTW Why would you need a loan, if your husband makes a lot of money? 0_0

You only need a bigger place if you are uncomfortable where you are now. I would not want 4 people in that small a place.

Don't borrow from relatives. Go get a loan from a mortgage just like everyone else. Or find a place you are happy with to rent. In some parts of the world (and even around here several decades ago) 900 sq feet would be plenty. Maybe even bigger than most families would have. But if you are comparing with other families in wealthy countries like the USA in today's time...then you need more space. But you should not buy until you can do it without any help from a relative- your grandma has shown you what that leads to.

It doesn't matter what is right. You are adults and need to make your own way, especially if you intend to have a large family. No matter where you move, or whether you buy or rent, you need to get out of Grandma's place.
