Do you prefer penthouse or house?

Posted at: 2015-03-04
I miss my little house. Was only 870 Sq ft but it was on a double corner lot. Felt like I had no neighbors.

I love being in the same city as my bf but i hate living in an apartment. Even in the penthouse you still have neighbors too close. I hope someday to buy a house again.

A house so that I can run around outside etc. and so I don't have to do on an elevator all the time. It would also take ages to get the groceries and stuff like that all the way up to a penthouse

It probably wouldn't change where I live. I like my house now. I'd just get a sailboat and explore the world when not at home.

Personally I would like to be located near a city, but not in the city. Somewhere on a private lake and/or heavily forested area. So probably the house with the huge yard.

If I have children or will have them then I want the house. If I am young and want to spend my time in active sports then I want the house. If I have no kids and want to be free to not worry about all that upkeep then I want a penthouse.

I sold a very expensive house with a ten acre front yard and two acre pond and fountain and the new owner tried to do the upkeep themselves- after two months the place looked horrible. They realized they needed a pretty much full time gardener after that. If you don't want to fool with that then you shouldn't get that house.

I lived in a penthouse by myself once when I was younger, paid for by myself. It had a view of hills with nice trees on them, but no fantastic view but the apartment itself was gorgeous. If you have money then you don't really want to flaunt it, you want to be free from people bothering you. So I'd say there's no need for a pool, tennis court, etc. because where you get the penthouse they will have that in the complex already. You don't need a huge yard. All that extra fluff costs extra money so if you're spending that means you're not investing. Investing is better.

I would prefer one this has 5-10 acres, perhaps 2-3 stories. I would use about 3-4 acres for my personal residence. The rest would be used for wilderness so I am able to do a little hiking and perhaps hunting.

I would not want to be in a city environment, with all the congestion, traffic, noise and other things associated with living in large city. I would prefer a rural; area with the city be approximately an hour or so away.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.
