Well, maybe if you will show a better or excellent performance, you may still be promoted. At our workplace, it's called exceeding expectation. A good work ethics should merit a promotion even if you failed at first. There's always room for change and I believe every company gives second chances. At work, a superior is always looking for staff who is willing to go the "extra mile" meaning you don't just do what is expected of you but you should be willing to do "more" for the company's benefit. That's what you are hired for, to be an asset to the company.
Probably best that you move on to another job. Your poor performance is part of that company's human resources records now. It will then be looked at when you're up for any future promotions or applications for other jobs in the company.
You have created a hurdle that you would have to overcome before being considered for promotion. You have to convince them they wouldn't be making the same mistake twice if you were promoted, so that makes it more difficult for you.
Probably better to move to another job where you have a clean sheet and don't repeat the mistakes.
I recently got demoted from crew leader to crew
My boss said it was a combination of a company violation and poor performance
I accepted the demotion and continue to work, i do my best to stay professional about it all. But i cant help but feel like i'm at a "Standstill" So my question is does a demotion mean an end to moving up again???? (Am i stuck?) THANK YOU, for your answers!!!!
