Though lease or rent to own is a legal means of purchasing a house these type of agreements normally favor the seller as oppose to the buyer.
You would normally have a contract that would normally require the seller to have a down payment of some sort which is nonrefundable if the agreement is voided for some reason.
If you miss one monthly payment, in some instances, is sufficient enough to have the seller void the lease or rental agreement.
