LOL you have forgotten to tell us what area you live in, so now you expect us to GUESS if you have asbestos in your home just because you have popcorn ceilings? Grow up and get real and provide full details if you want an accurate answer.
So based on the little info you have bothered to provide us, I would say YES you have asbestos in your home everywhere and that will explain why you feel sick all the time.
Why don't you grow up and act like an adult and hire a professional surveyor to test it all out and confirm it to you in writing?

Its possible but unlikely. By 1980 asbestos was banned for some uses (but not others) and we had an idea of the problems it caused and many even unbanned products had already been made asbestos free by then. I suspect your house is asbestos free but no guarantees.
Unlikely, but you must have the home inspected by a licensed inspector and sample taken and samples tested. There are no cut and dry dates to asbestos use.
Unlikely, but the only way to be sure is to have it tested. It's not the end of the world if it does - it's just that the removal work will cost more as the contractor has to dispose of it as hazarous waster.
If you have it tested then it will be on record and you will never be able to sell the house without very expensive abatement. Either decide to live with it or pay the big bucks to get rid of it.

Asbestos use is not illegal in the US. It was used in construction in the 80s. Is it likely, no. Is it possible, most definitely.
I have popcorn ceilings & would like to have the popcorn removed & I was wondering if it's likely or unlikely that a home built in 1980 has asbestos.
