Does this logo look professional for a counselling practice?

It looks good to me.

Some may not be overly impressed with the Font. But that is a subjective opinion (mine, actually)

Likewise, amateurish or professional is a subjective opinion.

It is clean, expressive, conveys a simple message both written and visually, and (most importantly) is easy to remember. Thus, it is successful.

(Many graphics artists grossly over-complicate it, being more interested in their own image than their client. In fact that is the biggest reason for graphic advertising to fail!)

the formula - K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple, Stupid - has never led anyone to go broke.

You've used about the right amount of yellow. Yellow is a highly suggestive and inviting colour, hence it's extensive use (sometimes quite subtly) in supermarkets and department stores.

You might consider adding a basic border, or even a 3D font, but don't go cluttering it up.

It looks amateurish and like it has been done on word.

I am an aspiring graphic artist and need things for my portfolio. I have access to photoshop, so if you want me to have a go at it for you just message me.

Amateurish with that font and cheesy clip art. Sorry, but if you want a professional looking logo you need to pay a decent graphic artist to design one for you and advise on fonts.

It looks great! I like simple designs and yours isn't over-the-top. Sun breaking through the clouds gives a sense of a brand new day or era... Good luck. Starting a business ain't easy.. I have several businesses.

I like it. For some reason, I am not able to take a look at your second logo. When I try to open I get the message "Unauthorized" ??????

So I am setting up a counselling service in my local area and have come up with this design for my logo.

What do you think? Does it look professional or amateurish?

Many Thanks in Advance :)
