Ebay buyer wants a refund because he stained the shirt?

What I find odd is that even if the shirt has been stained, say due to something happening during shipping - does the buyer understand what a washing machine is? What stain remover is? Very worst case, it could be taken to a dry cleaners to have the stain removed by experts.

This case screams "it does not fit", My mommy got mad that I bought it" or "I need the money" much more than it does "this shirt has a stain". I'd take the buyer as a scammer who hopes you will just fork over the money. Be sure to keep all correspondence through eBay, and honestly don't hesitate to escalate the case. Also do not hesitate to call eBay during weekday business hours - they are staffed with people who can help you here.

Heads-up on the time-stamp. When you take a photo, there is data attached that you often don't see. This includes the time, day, camera brand/model and all settings down to ISO, f stop and shutter speed. This information IS visible when you open the photo with a good photo editor. Even a basic photo editor like Google's Picasa shows this information.

If you loose, you are still entitled to the shirt back even if you have to pay for return shipping.

I mean, i posted pictures of the shirt, but I don't think i can prove that it wasn't stained, for all I know, the buyer stained the shirt, and then complained to ebay about it, that I sent him a stained shirt.

Unless you can prove the shirt wasn't stained when sent, you might lose this one.

prove to ebay that you sent the shirt without the stain by sending them pictures

The delay in his opening the case may help you but you need a picture of the shirt as listed and now.

State your case to eBay. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Show any pictures you have of the shirt not being stained. I always take timestamped pictures before I send an item.

Unfortunately you will lose this case. It does not matter if the buyer "has a washing machine".

the buyer is most likely having buyers remorse and would like to return the shirt.

Honestly, its 50 bucks. It could be much worse. It is best to refund him and leave it at that

If you're smart, you'll tell the buyer you're sorry he's disappointed in the shirt, and that he's welcome to return it at his expense for a full refund of the original price plus shipping. This is exactly what eBay is going to tell him if he opens a SNAD case.

Many times, buyers just want to know if returning the item is possible. If you reply promptly and cheerfully, often they don't bother to return it, and may even leave you positive feedback. At least they're very unlikely to neg you or open a case.

Hi everyone, I am a ebay seller, and have a 100% positive feedback. I recently sold a WHITE polo t shirt, in excellent condition, no stains or rips. 7 days after He got the item, he opened a case saying that the shirt was stained. what should I do?

I know for a fact that it was not stain, or else I would have listed as stained. I sold it for $54.

If ebay does agree to refund, I will not only lose my money, but I will have a ruined shirt.
