In the end, the decision you make comes down to you. In all fairness, you did list the item as no returns accepted and for you the game may work. However, I have had previous bad experiences with Nintendo d.s and some games that work in one d.s will not work in another. It is stupid, but unfortunately technology is annoying and decides to work selectively.
If you decide to stick with your no returns policy, then that is your choice however you may receive bad feedback and a bad eBay customer rating, depending on whether you want to risk that or not can contribute to your final decision. Morally, it would be kind to give the customer a refund and take back the item. However, the customer agreed to buy the game on a no returns policy, and could have decided they don't really like the game and used the excuse that the item is not working. You could maybe refund the item and try to list it on another website or try to trade or sell it into a local games store.
"no returns accepted!" means NOTHING on eBay. Nearly all transactions allow the buyer to return the item for a full refund including shipping for 45 days after auction close.
You have 2 options:
1. Refuse to allow the buyer to return the item. The buyer will open and win a Buyer Protection case against you. The buyer will be told to return the item to you. Paypal will give your money back to the buyer. The buyer will leave you a nasty neg and low DSRs because they had to fight you to get their money back. The closed case against you will decrease your seller performance rating on eBay.
2. Graciously accept the return and refund the buyer when you receive the item. You may actually still get positive feedback. No Buyer Protection case closed against you to lower your seller performance rating.
This kind of situation separates the successful eBay sellers from the losers. Which group do you want to be in? You see what happens to your money either way.
You take it back and refund him! Reason ~ if you don't he will file an official dispute and ebay will order you to refund him within about 3 days. If you don't they will refund him and add the money to your ebay account invoice and take it from your bank.
Hello, So ive recently sold a ds game on ebay! i was really happy that i sold it, i contacted the buyer saying congrats on bidding and when i would post it, i posted the item as promised and had recently recieved an email saying that the game doesnt work ( before posting the game i double checked it worked on my d.s and deleted my game save, so I know that the game does work) i advised the buyer on what they could do to try and make it work and ive tried my best to resolve the problem. i do not want the game back as i've been putting it on ebay to sell for over a month now and because its finally sold i do not want to send it back so i did place the listing as no returns accepted! the buyer has asked if i will refund him if he sends the game back. I feel like I am bieng unreasonable and horrible however i know the game works as i tried it and cant understand why its not working for the buyer.... PLEASE HELP! i need some advise on what to do asap x thank you.
