So why on earth would they care why you stopped claiming?

yes they will ask why you are no-longer claiming but as you no longer need there money or help you can say, that is my business.
what can they do, refuse to stop paying you, threaten to give you a cold weather payment ?
No one cares why, nor what money you will have in the future.
i didnt know if they would want to check if i owed anything before ending it,
I will be ending my housing benefit claim this week , do i have to give any details of why, and will they ask for bank statements or wage slips before closure? UK only please thanks
