Sex offenders are barred from being around children. Most HUD housing complexes involve families with young children.
Would you, if you were a parent of a young child, live close to a someone convicted of "sex with a minor"?
Think about it
Most times with ages that close I didn't think they prosecuted. It screws him for the rest of his life. In general he won't qualify anyway because he is young and does not have kids. He needs to get a job, education, and do well for himself. If he works hard he can buy a home and can't be told sorry no room at the Inn.
The people in your life make bad decisions. You have a terrible family and line of friends.
He will not. He doesn't qualify for welfare, food stamps, etcetera, either. No church will help him and no one will hire him.

Felons and sex offenders are two different issues. The latter will not qualify for HUD housing.
I got a guyfriend who's has a sex offender record. He was basically dating a 16 yr old, he was 18 the parents walked in on them having sex and he was charged with sex with a minor. Even though they been dating for 8+ yrs. Anyways he's trying to get into HUD Housing but he has to register his address when he moves.
Does anyone know if he's able to move into a HUD House? Or would his status with registering his address and his record prevent him?
My sister and her husband are both convicted felonist and both were approved for HUD so trying to figure this out.
