An alphabetically named company can be advantageous at times. What does this have to do with your company? Simply, ads are mainly posted alphabetically (people usually don’t have time to scan to the bottom of a list of 10 roofers). Earn the number one spot easily and get more calls faster by just properly naming your company (this may seem silly but it works through a few mediums of advertisement). For example, first names beginning with A followed by roofing company/business. Once again, this may sound ridiculous but pick up your local newspaper and look in the classifieds. You will more than likely notice an alphabetized listing of local business’s trying to find work. Personally when I am scanning the newspaper, I will at most look at the top 3 or 4 businesses.

Although newspaper, magazine and phone book advertising are becoming outdated, many online directories are alphabetically listed as well. Do not use a name which is not easily pronounceable or one which people will not remember. Put simply, if a customer can’t remember your name after losing your business cards then you have lost profit!
