Help with eBay listing?

You ship it however you indicated on the listing you would ship, whether post office or private carrier. If you sent the buyer an invoice, give him a choice of shipping methods. When he pays you will see in the Order Details which one he wants. Then you find any old box and use packing material and take it to the carrier. Like you would ship anything else to anyone.

I suggest you read Ebay's shipping section for hints.

You can do it a few different ways:

1.) If you have a scale, computer, and printer, you can package it in any box and WELL WRAPPED.... put it on the scale, put the weight and pick the service on ebay, then print out a label and tape it on the box.

2.) You can take it to the post office, bring packing material with you, buy a priority box, then they will weigh it, and ask you questions while processing it.

Keep in mind, you can add insurance and signature confirmation while online or in the post office. It is also always cheaper to ship from home.

UPS will wrap it for you, but USPS is a better deal.

if there is a usps (post office) near you go there and grab a flat rate box (they are free to take- you pay when you actually fill it and ship it.)

wrap the item in what ever paper you can find (toliet paper, napkins, anything that would make it nto break in transit- i have used a wide variety if paper in my shipping.)

take the item back to the post office. pay a cashier.- DO NOT FOR GET THE TRACKING NUMBER it's just 80 cents extra- but it will save you the headache of not knowing where your package is.

How did you state shipping options in the listing? USPS? UPS? Fed Ex? Stick with the truth of your description. UPS ground? USPS Priority?

I listed an ipad1 for sale on ebay. this being my first time selling something. the item was purchased a few seconds later. how do I "ship" this item? do I take it to my nearest UPS office?
