House finder for someone else?

There are lots of these types of businesses in the metro areas. They help tenants find places thru out the city they work in & act as a go between for them to the landlords. They do not actually rent out any properties so no license is typically needed. They are sometimes called apartment finders or something if that nature. I used one of those when I moved from Oregon to Las Vegas.

There are also property managers that DO rent out properties however they would only help tenants as far as what they have in their inventory not the entire city. YES most states do require a property management or real estate license for this type of business.

What you need to do is decide what type of business you want to enter & research what is required in your state.

There are rental agents, like real estate agents, that do just that. You may need some sort of certification for those jobs. Call a few rental agents in your area and find out what they require for employees.

That's called a realtor.

Yes they are called re-locators. Some of you larger real estate firms might have a department dedicated to this service in helping individuals that are coming to the area because of a job transfer in assisting finding a place to rent or purchase.

In order to perform this job, most states would require this person to be a licensed real estate agent. You might inquire of this requirement from your states web site concerning real estate. In some instances, you might not be required to be licensed at all.

Some major firms also have these type employees as they might have executives that would be moved based on their job. In most cases these individuals would work closely with a real estate agent where the employee would be transferred. Being employed by a firm to handle these chores might not be your primary job, as most firms do not transfer personal on a regular basis.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

"FIGHT ON"

It is called a "Rental Agency". My state Does Not require a real estate license for a Rental Agency or Property Management business, just a working knowledge of Tenant Land Lord Laws.

Unless you're working for free, you need a real estate license. That's one of the seven services that require a real estate license.

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a job where you find different houses for someone else.

They would give you the type of house they want and in what area and you would do the research for them.

Because I loved researching for my own apartment when I was on search.

So I was wondering if that was the real estate agent job, or it could be someone else is job

Thank you
