You can hold fundraisers, events, or sell items for donations. Host a silent auction at your local city administration building, host a talent show, eating competition, pool party, or a related event to your charity. Since your charity sends people to Ecuador, you could host a South American themed party, and charge an entry fee. Of course, those things take money, but you usually have to spend money to make money! Just make sure to advertise the fact that all proceeds go towards the charity, and people will be more generous.
On the note of advertising, if you would like your own promotional video for you charity work, Next Century Promotion can handle that for you! If your charity has a website, we can write great website content. Between the videos and content, your charity should get a lot more notice and attention, and hopefully gain more donations!
You can also post in the classifieds of you local newspaper about your charity - your newspaper may not be allowed to make a donation, but they could give you a free advertisement! Mention your name, contact info, mission, and goal. That could pull lots of results.
Above all, don't give up! Keep going back to private businesses and asking for donations. Just be sure to dress professionally and act friendly! What you're doing is amazing; keep up the great work!
Friends and family mostly, and people at church, if you attend.
While the cause may be worthy, in these difficult times, few businesses can afford to send a person they don't know on a strictly charitable mission.
you should go to the socities rich people to raise your fund.
best of luck

I have a charity that sends people to the country of Ecuador for medical relief. It has been approved for tax deductions for people who donate. Where can I go to get donations to this charity? Like are there any chain businesses that could help out? I went to Walmart, and they said they'd see what they could do. A lot of other places said they're not allowed to give money. Any ideas of where to go? I need $2300
