I've used Bluehost and HostGator in the past. These are both cheap but I ran into a lot of problems with both. Bluehost has a lot of problems with their servers.. a lot of downtime. HostGator tries to charge you for everything.
I'm hosted with SiteServing now and LOVE them. They are very affordable and have the best support so far. I'd check them out and see which plan you need.. they have shared for like $2-3/ and it comes with a lot of extras like a sitebuilder.
