How long before I have to leave my house?

What is the specific process of eviction? Step by step? I tried looking it up but don't get a straight answer. Someone help?

If you are renting in Texas- you get a 3 day notice from landlord. When you don't get out the landlord takes it to Justice of peace. They sit a court date and notify everyone. Almost 100% of time renter loses. Then renter gets 5 day notice. If they don't get out then landlord hires movers and deputies and sits stuff out on curb. If the landlord moves as quick as they can then they can have you out on the curb three weeks after the first notice.

They also will notify all reporting services that they had to take you to court and it will be hard to find a new place to rent.

You get a notice from them, a "cure or quit". Fix this/pay up in X days (usually 3) or leave. You fail to do either, they file in court. Court date is set, could be a week, two weeks, a month (depend son why and the court backlog). You get evicted by the judge, they give you somewhere between 24 hours to a few days to get out before sheriff's show up and physically remove you and your stuff onto the street.

Google landlord/tenant laws in your state. That will answer your question. Generally once you are served with the eviction summons a court hearing will be scheduled. If the judge rules in favor of your landlord it will be a matter of a few days before you have to vacate. The court should be able to tell you how long you have.

You need to check your tenancy/lease agreement. It should explain the process if you were to leave the property when the tenancy is up or if you're evicted due to rent arrears etc.

The standard process is that you have 30 days to move all your belongings and personal possessions. The landlord cannot have a say in the time within 30 days, after 30 days your landlord/landlady can take legal action on you & you may find bailiffs at your doorstep.

The process differs from state to state. It also differs for homeowners versus home renters. No one can answer your question accurately without knowing your State and if you are being foreclosed, or are a renter.
