Selection of the keywords totally depends on the products that you have or offer and also the number of pages your site holds. One can never restrict to a limit of keywords. I can help you with the exact count if you can share your website url.
As per my opinion we should not target more then 10 keywords on home page and rest of the keywords target in inner pages of sites like services and product pages of sites.
you should focus on 1 KW and 3 LSI KW
