There are many variables that go into the cost of t-shirt production. While pricing will vary from printer to printer, custom t-shirt pricing ultimately comes down two three major factors:
1) Number of t-shirts ordered
2) Number of color in the design
3) Printing process used
Most of these variables can be adjusted by designing the shirt with these parameters and your budget in mind. Which raises another valid question. Do you have artwork? If not, how much should you pay for a good design? I found this video to be very insightful on design costs.

For customized athletic apparel, like these Democrat & Republican Nike, Adidas, Puma & Reebok tee's it will cost you $25. A basic tee with no name brand will cost anywhere from $15-20. The major name brand companies used to do this for $35. I guess that's why they discontinued. With the shipping & handling fees nobody would pay that much.

$27.00 is actually reasonable seeing as how i've seen some for way more, it really depends on the site and place that's all
