How much does a domain name cost?

Most of the time hosting and domain name services are an annual fee. The reason is because these services are quite cheap to begin with.

Would you pay $1 per month and then extra on transaction fees? Or would you rather pay 12 bucks a year once off and not worry about it till the next year?

Domain names like .com or .net etc are very cheap while others cost a bit more. Here is a full price list of almost every domain type out there: http://buy.killerdomains.com.au/domain-n...

Your typical internet user spends more at their local coffee house in a week than a domain name will cost them for an entire year. To register a regular old unregistered.com domain name is going to cost you right about...

The right place to start is to target today's average of approximately $8-$10 per year for a .com domain name from GoDaddy or one of the hundreds of other domain name registrars.

You have to make a 1 year commitment when buying a domain name, you may find price discounts if you buy 3 years in advance.

Many registrars offer huge discounts for the first year, knowing you may well be a repeat customer for many years.

Godaddy.com has coupon codes for $3 and sometimes $0.99 names for the first year, their regular prices are around $12.

Be sure you search for coupon codes, Namecheap.com is also fairly popular,

There is little service associated with the actual domain name, you will probably just be visiting the registrar 1 tine a year to renew, name server performance is a small consideration. Godaddy probably has more support documents than some small registrar.

I mean buying one so that I never have to pay each month.

As for paying each month, how much would I have to pay to get great services?

Also, is it better to pay once off or each month?
