How much does it cost to live in London?

London is hugely expensive. Consider other cities.

In central London, a room in a shared house can cost £1,000 a month. A one-bedroom flat could be £500 a week upwards. Then you need to add bills, council tax, food, transport...

On minimum wage jobs (which is what you'd be looking at, at your age and with no education or experience) you'd struggle.

realistically you have a mountain to climb rents are high property ownership for people like you is dismally out of reach your career is you so to do these things you need a good career and minimum wage will not offer that and to be honest there is little on offer that isn't so it not only looks bleak but is lot's have and are doing well but a lot more aren't and haven't it's down to you and that career

DEMAND !! what an aggressive word, why should your Mother buy you a house. You have to do what the rest of us do, work and save up.

I'm 17 and I live in Caerphilly (Wales) my family aren't exactly rich or broke, I live with just my mum and she works constantly so i can't really demand her to buy me a house when she pays for everything, I've got a part time job and I'm in college right now so any money I earn I give to my mum or save up

I really don't enjoy living in wales i feel like I need a fresh start, I'm not sure how much the average house price is in England but I'm aiming to move out when I finish college and I need to know around how much I need to save
