How much does renting an apartment cost?

I am moving out when i turn 18 so i need to know how much i should save for the next 2 years.

'Just the facts' is right - its like asking how much will a car cost. Well that depends if you want to rent a one room place in a bad area or a 3 bed penthouse in the best area in town

All I can suggest is that you look at a few letting agents in areas you want to live in and take it from there. Remember on top of your rent, you need money for bills, food, transport as well which you need to take into account

You will also need money upfront to pay for deposits, fees, admin charges. Not sure where you are but in the UK that will set you about about £1,500 before you have even moved in. Then if the place is unfurnished you need to buy yourself some furniture ….

Just keep saving as much as you can and make sure you don't get bad credit either - otherwise you will struggle

Good luck

That's like asking how much a car would cost. Cost varies widely depending on location, age, amenities, etc. Look for some rental ads in the area you plan to live in order to get an idea of cost.

studios are the cheapest to rent of all units; all rent prices are extremely localized - find or use an apartment locator to search by price range or area to determine what it is you are willing to pay for.

that might depend on what you rent

go to any search engine and find web sites of your community that advertise rentals, the local newspapers would be a good place to look for rentals but they are probably mostly in their web site as well

check around, you will find what prices various places are going for

first you should get a job,,, then save as much as possible
